The Calandex III, Import secure encrypted data and Compare

This is the Import and Compare Page:

Calandex III .Cdex files are Imported and/or Compared with Existing Data

All the Files that are sent to you are combined into one downloaded File. It is broken up into it's original files after it is downloaded. These file are stored in your \Calandex III\CdexFiles\CdexImport\ Folder.

Files can be Edited and Saved in the DataBase.

Data is Imported into a temporary Database (called New). You can Add
this data to your permanent dBase (after reviewing and Editing)
It goes away after you close the Page, but you can retain the Import .Cdex file if you want.

The temp dBase is 'New' on top, and the Permanent dBase is 'Old' on the 'bottom'.

Calandex III .vcf files or Card Files are Imported and/or Compared with Existing Data

A standard .vcf Card File is combined with other Card Files that you wish to Import.

The .vcf Files are then converted to a line in a standard _vcf.csv file that is constructed with the ability to change each line to a format that can be added to a _vcf_csv_.Cdex File.

The .Cdex file can then be Imported and Compared and with Existing Data as shown above.

Importing a .Cdex File.

A .Cdex File can contain both Chronology (Events/Activities) and MVDB (Groups/Businesses, Subjects/People) data.

Since both are available, You now have a choice, Import an Event/Activity or MVDB Data.

The 'Reset' Button will reproduce this view no matter what you are currently doing.
This allows you to change your check box choices, and view again.

You can now continue to view Imported MVDB Data one at a time.

As a new MVDB Subject/Group is picked, if selected parameters in the database matches, it will appear in the lower half of the view.

You can freely move around Address and Phone Records to compare and upgrade your current dBase.

As you compare data, You can now Edit, Copy, Delete or Import to the dBase
keep in mind the lower half is already in your dBase.

Click on either Notes Box to compare Notes (see below)

Note that you can Copy and/or Delete entire Address/Web and/or Phone/E-Mail Recoreds.

The 'Edit' Button will allow you to select Recirds and then you can Edit individual Data Points.

Note: In this View, the Data comes from the same computer, so you get a lot of matching Data.

In this view, Web Sites match under the Address/Web Site Data.

Here you picked an Event/Activity to view

You can now continue to view Imported Event Data one at a time.

As a new Event is picked, if selected parameters in the MVDB DataBase match, it will appear in the lower half of the view.

As you compare data, You can now Edit or Import to the MVDB keep in mind the lower half is already in your MVDB.

Click on either Notes Box to compare Notes (see below)

Activity Groups:
Note: The Group ID's match. Since the 'Group / Share Unique ID Number' is checked (above). These are not the same Events, but they belong to the same Group. The 'Go' Buttons allow selection of other Events in the Group for total comparison. Event ID's are Date/Time numbers, Date numbers are prior to the decimal point.
Tip: If you choose to install an Event that has a group ID, It will be placed in it's proper place in the Chronology and the Prev and Next ID's will be adjusted to put the new event in the Groups block‑chain if applicable. It will also replace any Recur Event that matches it's ID Date / time.
This seems complex but the computer handles all the complex calculations, all you have to wory about is if you want this new Event in your chronology.

You can now compare Notes, Copy, Move and/or Delete any you want.

You can make changes, and go back and input the Imported Event into the dBase.

You can Copy Send Data to Recv.

You can compare Notes between an Event/Activity and MVDB Data since the formats are the same
(see the view below.)

Data under the above heading cannot be Copied, Moved, or Deleted here.
This Data is entered automatically whenever an Event/Activity has added or deleted any MVDB associated Data or a Subject/Person's status changes with a Group/Business in the MVDB.
It can be deleted on it's original Page(s) in case of a Data glitch.

Here You have Ordered a Compare of an Event/Activity with an MVDB Data Set

This 'Notes' Compare did not com from an Import .Cdex file.

Both the Chronology and MVDB Page have the ability to compare any 2 you want.
and they will compare like shown above. However, you can Save the changes in the 'New'
Temp dBase since this data exists in the permanent dBase.

In this case, the Compare Function can only compare Notes, since it is
comparing an Event with MVDB Data and Notes is the only parameter that can compare.
In this case, you cannot revert back to other parameters.

You can now compare Notes, Copy, Move and/or Delete any you want and Save.

Data under the above heading cannot be Copied, Moved, or Deleted here.
This Data is entered automatically whenever an Event/Activity has added or deleted any MVDB associated Data or a Subject/Person's status changes with a Group/Business in the MVDB.
It can be deleted on it's original Page(s) in case of a Data glitch.

They are made into _vcf.csv that are formatted to be made into a _vcf_csv.Cdex File

The .Cdex file can then be Imported and Compared and with Existing Data as shown above.

Creating a .Cdex Import File from this formatted .csv File.

When you Import a .vcf File, The form to the right appears. It opens with .csv Data in the File Line: 1 of 1, which contains the outline of .vcf Data. This is for information only and cannot be added to the .Cdex File. You can Retrieve this Line at any time to start over.

The Get New line for data Input Go Button Retrieves the next line in the .csv File. It also fills in the Imported Fields for the Calandex III.

Review the Imported Fields and Edit them. You can add and/or chage the Data as neede. The Imported Fields can hold up to 2 Address/Web Records and up to 3 Phone/E-Mail Records.

Now, Add and Save to the Calandex .Cdex File Go, this will add the Calandex Import Data to the .Cdex Import File being created. The current line of the volital .csv file will be removed to avoid duplications (The original .csv file remains so that it can be reused if desired).

You can Exit at any time. On Exit, the newly created .Cdex file will be positioned to be Compared and Imported to your Calandex III DataBase. Go to the top of the Page to see help for Importing a .Cdex File
